Functional Skills
We offer our students English and Maths tuition in order for them to gain recognised qualifications. Having these qualifications on their CV will help students progress onto further education courses of their choice and gain employment. Students will be assessed on entry and will start on a level to suit them. We provide Functional skills in English and Maths from Entry level 1 to Level 2.
Functional Skills English
The purpose of the Functional Skills English qualification is to prepare the learner for work, study and life. Learners who achieve this qualification will demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, listen and communicate in English.
Functional Skills Maths
The purpose of the Functional Skills Mathematics qualification is to demonstrate both mathematical skills at the appropriate level and the ability to apply mathematical thinking effectively to solve problems successfully in the workplace and in other real life situations.
